When I first dove into reading Aharen-san I had thought it was going to be the mediocre romcom show that revolved around the main girl/guy having some wild and quirky trait with little to no substance in and of itself.
And to be fair, that's what it felt like for the first few chapters, but the first big difference I noticed was that the main male mc wasn't an "ultra-reliable super nice guy" you see in a lot of these types of manga.
