Gu Yi Ye, and Gao Liang are both hard-working new recruits that have entered the military in order to become ace troops. Through the course of their intensive training, they also fall in love with the same girl, Jiang Nan Zheng. Now Jiang Nan Zheng must decide who she wants to be with, between two good friends. Who will she end up with? Through the course of a 40-year time period, Gao Liang and Gu Yi Ye follow different paths in the course of their lives.
